Election Commission pulls up ABP Asmita for airing Rahul Gandhi interview ahead of Gujarat polls

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has pulled up ABP News Network’s Gujarati news channel ABP Asmita for airing an exclusive interview with Congress president-elect Rahul Gandhi a day before the second phase of Gujarat polls.

Without naming the channel, the ECI has issued a statement stating that the interview violated Section 126(1)(b) of The Representation of the People Act, 1951.
